The Founders
Infinite Frontiers is the brainchild of two lifelong friends: Matthew Mason and Taylor Morgan. Matthew, a part-time 3D artist juggling a full-time professional job, discovered his love for tabletop gaming after retiring from Drone Racing. Taylor, his childhood friend, was the catalyst that expanded Matthew's gaming horizons—introducing him to everything from wargames to role-playing games and boxed board games. Through creating terrain pieces for Star Wars Legion with Imperial Terrain, Matt also discovered a love of making models for the purposes of 3d printing. United by their shared passion, they set out on an ambitious quest: to create a game that was both simple at its core and scalable in its complexity.
The Journey
Years of collaborative effort went into the initial development of Infinite Frontiers. Yet, life had other plans. The advent of the COVID-19 pandemic and personal hurdles led to an indefinite pause in the project. When Taylor tragically passed away, it seemed as though the game would never see the light of day. But the rediscovery of their old rulebooks reignited a dormant flame.
Driven by the urge to honor his late friend and fulfill a mutual dream, Matthew resumed the project. This time, he was backed by a community of friends from his Battletech server. Testing was relaunched, feedback was gathered, and slowly but surely, Infinite Frontiers was revitalized.
The Mission
Infinite Frontiers isn't designed to be the next multi-million dollar Kickstarter sensation or the cornerstone of a new gaming empire. At its heart, it's far simpler and far more noble: to create a game that puts players first, a living tribute to the initial vision shared by two friends. The ultimate aim is to give you a game that adapts to you, to your style of play, and to your life's ups and downs—just as its own journey has adapted to the twists and turns of fate.
