Upcoming Rule Changes (January ‘24)

Infinite Frontiers is undergoing significant changes to enhance gameplay and player experience. The update includes the removal of "Misery Points" and a revamp of the Luck system. Using Luck points now contributes to a "Madness" pool, giving the Game Master more discretion in the game's dynamics. Additionally, Luck can be used to avoid death, but this will permanently reduce a player's Luck points.

The S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes system is being overhauled for a more intuitive approach. Attributes like Speed and Perseverance will now serve as Offensive and Defensive traits in combat, while Eloquence and Composure will be pivotal in social interactions. Ingenuity and Analysis will become key for Technical challenges.

This update also introduces a range of new skills that are not locked to specific attributes. Skills can be augmented by relevant attributes but are capped by the corresponding attribute level. The game is moving away from tracked experience points, allowing for skill and attribute enhancement through "Training Weeks."

Health mechanics are also redefined. In various challenges, the two associated attributes form a point pool, replacing the traditional hitpoints or wounds system. These points are temporarily reduced by "damage" taken, affecting both the physical and mental aspects of characters.

Stay tuned for more updates based on player feedback, as Infinite Frontiers continues to evolve and bring new dimensions to your gaming experience!
