Rulebook
The rulebook is your indispensable guide to the Infinite Frontiers universe. Available in both print and digital formats, it covers everything from basic rules and advanced mechanics to lore and strategies. Whether you're a first-time player or a seasoned veteran, the rulebook is your go-to resource for all your gameplay needs.
Dice
In Infinite Frontiers, dice are more than just random number generators; they're integral to the game's mechanics and storytelling. You'll need several d6s for most of your gameplay actions, one of which should be distinguishable from the rest for specific game functions. Additionally, a set of polyhedral dice—including a d4, d8, d10, d12, d20, and d100—is required for generating random results from roll tables. These tables can dictate anything from the outcome of a complex action to the appearance of random events, adding layers of unpredictability and excitement to the game.
Game Board or Play Area
The game board or designated play area is your stage for adventure and conflict. With a standard recommended size of 30" x 22", this space serves as the physical setting for your missions, battles, and explorations. The play area can be as simple as a flat surface with boundaries or as elaborate as a 3D terrain model, depending on your preferences and the game's requirements.
Character Sheets or Unit Cards
Character sheets and unit cards are your in-game dashboards, containing all the vital statistics, skills, and equipment for your characters or units. These sheets are crucial for tracking your in-game progress, from health and abilities to inventory and mission objectives. They often come with sections for notes, allowing you to jot down important information during gameplay.
Tokens or Miniatures
Tokens or miniatures bring your characters and units to life on the game board. These can range from simple cardboard cutouts to intricately detailed miniatures, depending on how immersive you want your gameplay to be. They serve as essential tools for tactical planning, spatial awareness, and visual storytelling.
Optional Materials for Enhanced Gameplay
Status Markers
Status markers are small, easily identifiable tokens or objects used to indicate various conditions affecting your characters or units. Whether it's showing that a character is stunned or that a unit is cloaked, these markers help keep track of temporary game states, adding clarity and precision to your gameplay.
Terrain Pieces
Optional terrain pieces like buildings, trees, or spacecraft can add depth and complexity to your game board. These pieces serve as tactical elements, providing cover, creating obstacles, or acting as strategic points that can influence the outcome of your missions or battles.
Notebook
A notebook is a valuable asset for players who wish to keep a detailed record of their Infinite Frontiers adventures. It can serve multiple purposes, from sketching out quick maps and noting down mission objectives to keeping a diary of your character's thoughts and experiences.
